Had a lovely meal and drink here - would strongly recommend to anyone! The smash burger was smashing, and the pizzas had pizzazz. Great selection of craft ales and lagers, and a nice selection of food options. Shoutout to Chris and Lee for their excellent hosting and friendly service - really warm atmosphere and good vibes all round. Definitely come here if you’re in Whitby and fancy a pint or some scran!

Absolute gem of a small hidden pub. Great music playing in background. Excellent selection of beers not your average mainstream choice. Food is amazing homemade good portion sizes, tasty and really really tasty. My one criticism would be the barmaid wasn't the most cheerful person. "Yes, there, £xxxxx please." I didn't want her life story but more than one word answers would be nice. Definitely worth checking out if you like proper pubs great beers and quality food and not mainstream chains
