I really loved this place. The fish was fresh, and the chips were delicious. The atmosphere was also lovely—especially the traditional table style, which I really liked. The only thing I’d suggest is adding mushy peas or a garlic sauce on the side (without charging extra); that would make it even better!
If you’re in the area, I definitely recommend it. The view is great, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Some of the best seafood I've ever eaten. We had the seafood platter and every bit of it was perfectly cooked. The batter was light and the fish (as you would hope in Whitby) was so fresh tasting. The share platter was great value at £32. The Scottish lady who served us was super friendly. It was a great meal. Oh and deep fried black pudding. A revelation.
We had a wonderful visit to Terry’s Fish Bar recently and were thoroughly impressed. The fish and chips were absolutely delicious – fresh, perfectly cooked, and really good value for money. The portion sizes were generous, and everything tasted spot on.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Although there were no waiting staff on the day we visited, they had the brilliant idea to serve us takeaway, which we were then invited to enjoy in the restaurant. It was a simple yet genius solution that worked perfectly and made us feel well looked after.
A special mention must also go to the great playlist they had on – it added to the lively, positive vibe of the place. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend Terry’s Fish Bar to anyone looking for excellent food, good value, and great service.
